Work and Home: Compartmentalizing Your Life

Posted by Dr. Holly Latty-Mann on

I’ll get straight to the point. Try if you like, but you cannot compartmentalize your life. Work affects home, and home affects work. So, if your goal is to become a better leader, then become a better lover. No, not THAT kind. I’m talking about compassion, choosing arguments wisely, refrain from holding grudges, don’t create public drama when unhappy with your mate, etc.

On the other hand, if you’d like to become a better lover, then become a better leader. It doesn’t matter in which of these two arenas of your life you care to make improvements, they are highly positively correlated. After all, wherever you go, there you are!
